Dava ( Chinese р洼 大洼 , Pinyin : Dàwā ) is a district of the city subordination of the Panjin urban district of Liaoning Province ( China ).

Content
Name Origin
The name of the district in translation means "Big Pothole"; it is taken from the name of the village of Dava located on its territory, which is so named because of the nature of the surrounding area.
History
In 1964, the Panjin Agricultural District (盘锦 垦区) was formed, reporting directly to the Ministry of Development of Virgin Lands and Fallow Lands. In January 1970, it was divided into Panshan and Dawa districts, and on July 15, 1970, it was subordinated to the authorities of Liaoning Province and transformed into Panjin County (盘锦 地区). In November 1975, Panjin County was disbanded, and the Panshan and Dawa districts converted to counties were subordinated to the Yingkou authorities.
In 1984, Panjin Urban District was formed, and the county became part of it. In 2016, the county was transformed into an area of urban subordination.
