Description

The thick-billed warbler reaches a length of 12 to 13 cm. The weight of males averages almost 14 g, females - 13 g.

Distribution

The distribution area of ​​the thick-billed scallop extends from Sakhalin all the way to northeast China and north Korea. In Europe, breeding populations are absent.

The wintering region is the southeast of Asia from China to Burma. Migration begins in September, and at the end of October, birds fly to their winter apartments. In mid-March, birds leave their nesting sites and, starting in mid-May, return.

Living space is light forests with dense undergrowth. In addition, birds live on the outskirts of the taiga and also settle in the mountains near the upper border of the forest.

Nutrition

The food consists of spiders and insects that birds seek in the grass and shrubs.
