Pavlovka ( Ukrainian Pavlivka ) is a village, the center of the village Council, in the Genic district of the Kherson region of Ukraine . History
Pavlovka was founded in 1860. The Russian village of Petrovka is located 3 km from Pavlovka. According to old-timers, Pavlovka was populated at the same time as Petrovka, originally it was one settlement called Petropavlovka, with a church located in Petrovka. Later, a church was built in Pavlovka and the village received self-government.
In Pavlovka, Ukrainian immigrants from Kharkov, Chernihiv, and Poltava provinces predominated. One of the streets of the village was called Orlovskaya, because natives of the Oryol province settled here.
According to Sat "Ukrainian RSR. Administrative and territorial submission on 01.01.1946 Roku" the territory of the modern Pavlovsky village council was part of the Sivash district of Kherson region and included one settlement - s. Pavlovka.
