History

Sarmatians

Sarmatian burials were excavated near the village. In one of the graves, the remains of a young warrior girl were discovered. A combat belt lay next to it, a sidek with arrows and two spearheads were lit. There were beads on the girl’s neck, on her hands were silver and bronze bandages. The entrance to the funeral chamber of the young Amazon was closed with a wooden shield.

In another mound , located nearby, the burial of another Amazon was found, dating back to the turn of our era. Next to the buried were again weapons (a sword, a spear, arrows) and a toilet (rings, hairpins, a mirror, incense bottles). [2]

Nogai

In the first half of the 19th century, the Nogais lived in the area of the present Zarechny, somewhere near the Nogai aul Akkermen [3] . After the Crimean War of 1853–56, the Nogais were accused of sympathizing with Turkey, and a campaign began to evict them from Russia [4] . The Nogais were forced to sell their land to German colonists from neighboring Mennonite villages for nothing, and leave for Turkey. And the name Akkermen was preserved behind the new German farms and estates, which now became villages of the Prominevsky village council . [3]

Reimerhof

On the territory of Zarechny was the estate of the rich Mennonite landowner G.G. Reimer, called Reimerhof ( Hoff in German courtyard ). Mennonite farms of this type in the 1880-1890s were quite large capitalist agricultural enterprises that widely used hired labor and various agricultural machinery (seeders, reapers, mowing machines, steam threshers) and gradually replaced traditional landowners from the grain production market. At the end of the 1880s, G. G. Reimer laid down a 7–8 hectare park near his estate, which laid the foundation for the current Elite park. [3]

Klassen Manor

At the end of the 19th century, the Reimerhof became the property of the Klassen brothers. The old manor of G. G. Reimer in modern Zarechny and the adjoining half of the land went to Heinrich Abramovich Klassen, and the southeastern part of the land, the modern village of Lugovoy, went to his brother David Abramovich. G.A. Klassen built a new large house on his estate and expanded the park to an area of 13 hectares. At Reimerhof, he owned a thousand acres of land, some of which he leased. Particular attention was paid to the estate breeding thoroughbred horses, some of which were even bought for the imperial stables.

During the Civil War , the Klassen family, fleeing the frequent attacks on wealthy farms, moved to Halbstadt . In 1918, the Klassenes returned to their estate for a short time, when Ukraine was occupied by the Austro-German army, and Reimerhof served as the headquarters of the 1st Bamberger Uhlans regiment. G. A. Klassen died in 1923, and his family emigrated to Canada and Germany . [3]

Zarechnoye Village

According to the site of the Verkhornaya Rada of Ukraine, the current village of Zarechnoye was founded in 1906 under the name Akkermen [1] . In the Soviet years, the state farm Akkermen was operating on the territory of the village [2] . The book “Melitopilshchina in excursions” by I.P. Kuril-Krymchak (1931) advised to call in the state farm “Akkermen” to see the cow Mriya, setting a world record for daily milk yield. A cow bred by breeding methods weighed 548 kg and produced 61.5 liters of milk per day. [five]

On the German military map of 1943, nothing but a state farm is indicated on the territory of the village [6] . Akkermen is also not mentioned in the reference book on the administrative-territorial division of the USSR for 1947 [7] .

Zarechnoye received its current name in 1958 . [one]

Elite Park

On the outskirts of Zarechny, in the valley of the Yushanly River , there is an Elite park. The park was founded in the late 1880s by G. G. Reimer and greatly expanded in the late XIX - early XX centuries by the new owner of the estate G. A. Klassen. The park has collected more than 70 varieties of trees and shrubs, many of which were outlandish for our places. Seeds and seedlings for the park were taken from the Berdyansk forestry and were even written out from abroad. Platans , chestnuts , lindens grew in the park, a long avenue of pyramidal oaks led to a birch grove , and pond birch and alder adorned the banks of the pond. There was a boat station at the pond, and behind the pond was the Klassenov family cemetery. Adjacent to the southern edge of the park is an orchard and a vegetable garden.

On the road connecting Patience with the Mennonite colonies stood the estate of Klassen. In terms of plan, it was a square, at the base of which was the master's house of Klassen, similar to a medieval German castle, and on the sides of the square - outbuildings: a stable, a cowshed and a pigsty, a house, a barn. At the entrance to the estate was a school building and the old manor house of Reimer, the former owner of the estate. An artesian well was punched in the center of the courtyard, the water of which was used for household needs, as well as for filling the park pond. On the other side of the road there was a dormitory and a kitchen for workers, their gardens were also located here.

Currently, the park "Elite" declared a monument of landscape art. On the outskirts of the park, the remains of the ruined estate of Baron von Klassen are preserved. [3] [9]
