Draws
According to the regulations of the German Cup, the draws are carried out as follows. Before the draw of the first round, clubs are divided into two baskets. All the winners of regional championships, the 4 best clubs of the third Bundesliga and the 4 worst clubs of the Second Bundesliga fall into the first basket. All other professional clubs fall into the second basket. As a result of the draw, the team from the first basket will meet in the first round at the home stadium with the club from the second basket.
The draw of the second round will be held in a similar pattern. All clubs in the second round will be divided into two baskets. During the draw, when one of the baskets is empty, teams in a row will be delivered from the other basket. In all other rounds, the draw will take place from one basket.
In the event that an amateur club comes out in the third round, he will play the match in his home stadium. In all other cases, the first extended team will play at the home stadium. [one]
