Anchor is a village, the administrative center of the Yakorsky rural district of the Kyzylzhar district of the North Kazakhstan region of Kazakhstan . Located 26 km from the district center - the village of Bishkul [1] . 3 km to the west is Gorkoye Lake.

History
It was founded in 1932 as an agricultural correctional colony [1] . In 1953, the colony was reorganized into the Petropavlovsk State Farm, and the village of Yakor is open to immigrants [1] . In 1957, his administrative subordination included the villages of Olshanka, Glubokoe, Presnovka [1] .
The development of the Anchor was facilitated by its proximity to the regional center - the city of Petropavlovsk (12 km), as a result of which the farm soon became one of the main suppliers of agricultural products to the residents of the city [1] . In 1966, the poultry factory of the North Kazakhstan Production Association, Severnaya, was organized in the village [1] .
Since 1996, the village has been the central estate of the Peter and Paul Production Association [1] .
Population
In 1999, the village population was 2180 people (1057 men and 1123 women) [2] . According to the 2009 census , 2174 people lived in the village (1055 men and 1119 women) [2] .
