Career
Club
The player’s career began in 1977 at the club “Araz” (Nakhichevan). From 1979 to 1987, Sadikhov played for the Baku Neftchi . In 1988, he spent some time in Chisinau “Nistra” . The second half of 1988 he spent in the clubs of the 2nd league - “Goyazan” and “Khazar” from Sumgait .
In 1989, he played 23 games for Neftchi in the 1st league, after which he again played in Sumgait.
In 1993, he transferred to Nijat (Mashtagi), where he acts as a playing coach.
During his career, he acted as an attacking midfielder and / or striker.
Coaching
In 1993-1995 he headed Neftchi. Together with the team in the 1994/95 season he became the owner of the Cup and Super Cup of Azerbaijan. In addition, Sadikhov was the first head coach of Neftchi, who brought the club to European competition.
Since the 1995/96 season he has headed the 1st League club “Farid”, with which he has been promoted to the top division.
In 1994-1995, Sadikhov also headed the Olympic team of Azerbaijan (U-21). In 1996, he took the helm of the youth team of Azerbaijan U-18. Next year he becomes the head coach of the national team of Azerbaijan, in which he worked until 1999. Working with the first team of the country, he simultaneously oversaw all other national teams of Azerbaijan.
In 1999, he worked as a selection breeder at Makhachkala's Anji. In 2000, he transferred to ANS-Pivani , and in 2001 signed a contract with the Shafa team . As a mentor of Shafa, in early 2002 he was appointed head coach of the main national team of Azerbaijan. I worked with the team for a year.
In July-October 2003 he worked with the Iranian club of the 1st league "Mashinsazi" , where he left for family reasons [1] .
In 2004, he was appointed head coach of the Olympic team of Azerbaijan (U-21) [2] .
In 2005, he again worked as the head coach of the national team of Azerbaijan.
In 2005-2008, he served as vice president of the Ganjlarbirliyi club [3] .
In 2009, he worked as an assistant to Berti Vogts in the national team of Azerbaijan [4] .
In 2009—2010 - Neftchi head coach [5] . Dismissed in February 2010 after losing in the final round of the preliminary stage to Baku Inter with a score of 0: 1 [6] .
At the beginning of 2011, at the invitation of Haji Hajiyev , he entered the coaching staff of the Russian club Anji . During a disqualification, the coach led the team to the Russian Premier League football games. In early 2012, the contract with Sadikhov was terminated [7] .
Since April 2012, he heads the Azerbaijani club AZAL [8] .
