Kashovo (in the old days also Koshovo ) is a village in the Zhiryatinsky district of the Bryansk region , as part of the Zhiryatinsky rural settlement . It is located 8 km west of the village of Zhiryatino , 5 km southeast of the village of Vysokoe , on the Roche River. There is no resident population since 2001 .

History
Mentioned since 1648 as an existing village; Until 1781, it was part of the Pochep (1st) hundred of the Starodubsky regiment (the former possession of Razumovsky , Gubchitsy ). The parish of the Exaltation Church is mentioned from the first half of the 18th century (not preserved).
From 1782 to 1918 in Mglinsky district, county (from 1861 - as part of Kulnevsky volost ); in 1918 - 1924 - in Pochep county (the same volost). At the end of the 19th century , a literacy school was opened; annual fairs were held.
In 1924 - 1929 in the Zhiryatinsky volost of the Bezhitsky district , since 1929 - in the Zhiryatinsky district, and with its temporary disbandment ( 1932 - 1939 , 1957 - 1985 ) - in the Zhukovsky district .
From 1919 to the 1930s It was the center of the Kashovsky village council, then until 2005 it was part of the Vysoksky village council.
