History
The events of two major battles unfolded on the territory of the Leffrenkuk commune - the Battle of the Dunes in 1658 and the Battle of Dunkirk (Operation Dynamo) in May-June 1940.
After the war of 1870, Leffrenkuk was part of the "security belt" erected on the territory of border communes. From this time, the barracks were preserved, in which soldiers were previously housed, and now volunteers from youth organizations are conducting training camps.
