List of species listed in the Red Book of Nature of St. Petersburg , published in 2004 . The publication included 288 taxa - 164 animals (including 89 chordates (19 mammals, 55 birds, 2 amphibians, 3 reptiles, 1 cyclostomes, 10 fish), 65 arthropods (61 insects and 4 arachnids), 7 mollusks (1 bivalve mollusk and 6 gastropods) and 3 annelid worms) and 124 plants and fungi (including 48 vascular plants (3 plauiform, 44 flowering and 1 fern-shaped), 18 bryophytes (17 leafy and 1 hepatic), 13 algae, 16 lichens and 29 mushrooms).
At the end of the list is a list of 66 species listed in the book that probably disappeared in St. Petersburg - 7 insects, 23 vascular plants, 10 bryophytes, 1 algae and 25 lichen.
