She made her international debut, representing Albania, at the 1994 European Championships in Helsinki , where she took 22nd place. The following year, she won a silver medal at the Junior European Championships and became the 12th at the World Championships in Gothenburg . At the Olympics in Atlanta , where she was the standard-bearer of the national team, took 24th place.
Since 1997 , having married weightlifter Georgios Tzelilis, she began to play for Greece under the name Magnani Tzelili. The first results of performances under the new flag were 11th place at the 1997 World Cup and 9th place at the 1998 European Championship .
After this, Magnani's sporting achievements reached their peak. The athlete became the world champion in 1999 and 2003, the silver medalist of the 2001 world championship, the European champion in 2002. In addition, Magnani became the silver medalist of the Sydney Olympics and won a bronze medal at the next Games in Athens .
She completed her sports career in 2005 . To date, remains the record holder of both Albania (62.64 m) and Greece (67.51 m) in javelin throwing.
