Vyacheslav Sergeyevich Tanaev ( March 28, 1940 - July 19, 2002 ) - a scientist in the field of mathematical cybernetics, operations research, optimization theory and methods, and scheduling theory [1] .

Biography
Born on March 28, 1940 in the village of Akulovo , now Rameshkovsky district, Tver region .
Since 1965 - candidate of physical and mathematical sciences.
1968 - Senior Researcher.
1980 - Professor (special. "Mathematical Cybernetics").
Since 1994 - Corresponding Member of the NAS of Belarus.
1995 - Honored Scientist of the Republic of Belarus.
1998 - Laureate of the State Prize of Belarus in the field of natural sciences (for the series of works “Models and Methods of Schedule Theory”)
2000 - Academician of the NAS of Belarus (special. "Mathematical Cybernetics"), the first in the history of the institute to become the owner of this title.
1978 - Doctor of Physics and Mathematics (the theme of the dissertation is “Decompositional methods for optimizing design decisions”).
2002 - Laureate of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Prize (for the monograph “Schedule Theory. Group Technologies”, published in 1998 at the ITC of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus).
He died on July 19, 2002 in Minsk , was buried in the Eastern cemetery .
