Geography
It is located 20 km north-west of the village of Tpig , on the Chiraghchay River (Gulgerachay River Basin), at an altitude of 2320 m (2nd in Dagestan and 3rd in the Caucasus).
History
Chirag until 1934 was part of the Kurakhsky district , and until 1935 - Laksky .
The center of the historical region of Hutsul Dargo .
It was destroyed in 1239 by the Mongol-Tatars, and in 1740 - by Nadir Shah .
