Story
In the mushroom kingdom, Tsar Borovik XVI had a daughter Belyanka , who was in love with Georgia . But the king does not agree to marry her and sends a herald Raincoat to declare a decree on the search for the groom .
Mushrooms are going to the palace: handsome Amanita , clever Valui and rich Dubovik . Borovik has an enemy - the belligerent king Pea . From him is the adjutant Pod with the message: either Borovik will give Belyanka to marry Pea, or he will ruin the whole mushroom kingdom and pickle all the mushrooms, dry and marinate. The grooms of the Butterflies promise to protect the kingdom, and the mushroom king refuses Peas. Tsar Pea defeats mushrooms with cunning: he cuts off Amanita, depriving him of his luxurious hat and at the same time his beauty, defeats the “sage” Valuya, bringing down a stream of eloquence upon him and takes Captain Dubovik with his money, capturing his shop with a cannon. The situation is saved by Gruzd, who defeats Pea and his henchmen. Tsar Borovik agrees to the wedding of Georgia and Belianki.

Critic reviews
In an ironic-grotesque manner, Aksenchuk made fairy-tale films “How Mushrooms and Peas Fought” (1977), “ Moroz Ivanovich ” (1981), “ Woe is Not a Trouble ” (1983). In them, the traditional fairy-tale characters find out the relationship with each other, overcoming a lot of dangerous, but at the same time funny situations. The relationship between the characters are built on witty dialogue, making fun of greed, stupidity and pride. Victor Nikitin acted as an artist in all three fairy tales, not very similar in their graphic decision.
