Andrew Haydon Park Andrew Haydon Park - a park by the Bay of Britain on the Ottawa River in Ottawa . Located in the west of the city, at the intersection of Carling Avenue and Holly Acres Road, east of Dick Bell Park and the Nepin Sailing Club.
Named after Andrew Haydon, the former mayor of Nepin .
The park has a stage for open-air concerts and a picnic area , as well as walkways, playgrounds and mini-pools.
Along the marshy banks of the river. Ottawa in the territory of the park are often found Canadian goose and coastal birds . Geese also live in two ponds in the park. This leads to the fact that part of the park is contaminated by geese.
As an experiment, for the period of 2009-2011, dogs are allowed to drive dogs on a leash in the park; in the absence of incidents, this practice will continue.
