Career
Club
He began his football career in clubs from the city of Vantaa : “ VICE ” and “ Allianssi ”. At the end of 2005, he signed a contract with a club from his hometown , Honkoy . In the first season he played only three matches. However, already in the next season he began to regularly appear at the base. He made his debut in the Finnish Championship on October 15, 2006 in a game with Lahti . On April 22, in the first round of the 2007 championship, he entered the starting lineup for the match against MyuPa , which ended in a victory for his team with a score of 2: 1, and at the end of the first half he received a red card, committing a foul of last hope [2] . At the end of the season, “ Honka ” took fourth place in the standings, but in connection with reaching the final of the Cup of the country received the right to start the next season in the qualification of the UEFA Cup [3] . July 29, 2008 signed a contract with the club of the Swedish Allsvenskan AIK [4] . He made his debut for the new team on August 16 in a game with Sundsvall . On February 28, 2009, in a preseason friendly match with the Assiriska club, in a collision with an opponent’s player, he suffered a serious leg injury [5] , which incapacitated him for a long time [6] . Having recovered from an injury, Tomi again took a place at the gate. On March 6, 2010, he left his goal dry in the Super Bowl match against Gothenburg , thereby allowing his team to win the trophy [7] . In the championship AIK did not perform so well, skipping a lot. After the signing by the club of Ivan Turin and Kenny Stamatopoulos, Maanoya was first the second, and then the third goalkeeper of the team. January 13, 2011 he returned to Finland , again signing a contract with Honka [8] .

He played for the youth team of Finland . In the playoffs of the qualifying round of the 2009 European Youth Championship, the Finnish national team met with the Austrian youth team . Having lost 1: 2, in the return game on October 14, 2008, the Finns were the first to miss, but Jussi Vasara , teammate of Tom, who came out in the 51st minute, scored two goals, thereby transferring the game to overtime [9] .
