The Volgodonsk diocese is the diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church in the eastern part of the Rostov Region . It is part of the Don Metropolis .

History
It was formed by the secession from the Rostov and Novocherkassk diocese of the definition of the Holy Synod of July 27, 2011 in the administrative borders of the Volgodonsk city district, as well as Belokalitvinsky , Veselovsky , Volgodonsky , Dubovsky , Yegorlyksky , Zavetinsky , Zernogradsky , Zimovnikovsky , Kagalnitsky , Konstantinovsky , Milinsky , Martynoz , Martynoz , Martynoz , Martynoz , Martynoz , Martynoz , Martynoz Orlovsky , Peschanokopsky , proletarian , Remontnensky , Sal , Semikarakorsky , Tatsinskiy , Ust-Donetsk , Tselinsky and Tsimlyansk district in Rostov area [2] [3] [4] .
On October 6, 2011, the Volgodonsk, Rostov, and Shakhtinsk dioceses were included in the newly formed Don Metropolis [5] .
As of the beginning of 2012, the diocese includes 89 parishes, in which 68 priests serve. [6]
