The poplar pipe-driver , or the poplar weevil [1] , or the poplar elephant [2] is a bug from the subfamily of bukarok.

On top of a gray-green color with a copper or golden tint; proboscis, lower body and legs blue; forehead with a rather deep furrow; length 4 - 5 mm.
It is found throughout Europe, meeting very often on aspens and poplars; females fold leaves and lay testicles in them, and sometimes they also lay in young shoots.
