Biography
Ivan Stanchov was born in 1929 in Sofia to the family of Ivan Stanchov (1897–1972) and Caroline Marion Mitchell. He is the grandson of Dimitar Stanchov (1863-1940), a diplomat and politician. In 1943, the family emigrated to the United States , and since 1971, Stanchov lived in the UK . From 1991 to 1994, he was the ambassador of Bulgaria to London , and in 1994–1995 he served as Minister of Foreign Affairs in the government of Reneta Injova . Member of the Balkan Political Club.
