Biography
Born on October 10, 1924 in the village of Churashevo of the Nurimanovsky district of Bashkiria. Bashkir . Education is incomplete secondary. Member of the CPSU since 1944. After graduating from the Federal Law, he worked from January 1941 to July 1942 as an assistant operator at the Ufa Oil Refinery .
He was drafted into the Red Army in August 1942 by the Stalin District Military Commissariat of the city of Ufa and was sent to the army. Guard Sergeant Askin was particularly distinguished on January 12, 1945, when the Nazis broke through the defense of the Sandomierz bridgehead on the Vistula River ( Poland ) in the vicinity of the village of Patsenow . Gayfutdin Askin during the day of offensive battles destroyed 3 easel machine guns of Germans with a servant and up to 40 Nazis. The first crossed the Oder River north of the city of Oppeln (Poland), participated in repelling several counterattacks.
From the award sheet to Gayfutdin Askin: “ January 25, 1945 at the Oder bridgehead of the military. Birkental plant, the battery was surrounded by Germans, the personnel of the battery was disabled and partially dispersed, the enemy infantry brazenly rushed to the guns, comrade. Askin organized a circular defense - running from one gun to another, he shot Germans point blank. By this time, our infantry came. Comrade Askin, with courage and courage, defended the guns of the entire battery, and at the same time destroyed 4 easel machine guns and up to 60 Nazis. ”
The title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal (No. 8053) was awarded to Gayfutdin Gafiyatovich Askin on June 27, 1945.
After the war, Gayfutdin Askin returned to his homeland, worked as chairman of the Ukarlinsky village council of the Nurimanovsky district, secretary of the Nurimanovsky district committee of the CPSU in the Nurimanovskaya MTS zone. He lived in the village of Churashevo, Nurimanovsky district of Bashkiria. He died in 2007 , at the 83rd year of his life.
