Riverside South Riverside South is a suburban area of Ottawa located directly southwest of the MacDonald-Cartier International Airport . Previously, it belonged to Gloucester , which was included in Ottawa in 2001. According to the 2006 census, the population of Riverside South was 6807 [1] .
Back in the early 1990s. there were only a few houses and farms. Intensive development began here in the late 1990s, although infrastructure development still lags far behind many other suburbs of Ottawa. In particular, despite being close to Barrheven , communication with him is still possible only through 1 bridge.
In the future, it is planned to expand Riverside South south to Manotik and east to Litrim .
In the district there are 3 Catholic schools (junior, middle, senior) and 3 public schools (one secondary and two senior).
