Minsk worsted combine

KamVol OJSC , the Minsk worsted combination , MKK is one of the largest Belarusian enterprises of the light and textile industry of the Bellegprom concern [1] . Today the enterprise is the only one in the Republic of Belarus, the largest in the CIS, for the production of pure-wool, half-woolen fabrics for costume and dress purposes.

Products

Worsted fabrics made of pure wool, wool, half-woolen and made of chemical fibers, mixed costume and dress fabrics with an insert of polyester fiber, viscose , nitron, elastane lycra, Lurex , including high-quality fabrics made of Australian wool, tweed-type fabrics , a wide variety of cells, tissue companions. Linen-containing fabrics, special-purpose fabrics, fabric for billiard tables. Combed pure wool and half-woolen, knitted yarn with an attachment of nitron, lavsan , lycra .

History

The construction of the Minsk worsted combine began in 1951. In 1955, carding and spinning were launched, in 1956 - weaving, in 1959 - finishing. In 1968, the plant received the name of the 50th anniversary of the Communist Party of Belarus. In 1971 he was awarded the Order of Lenin . In 1966-1976, the plant was reconstructed [2] .

In 1978, part of the plant’s products was exported to Cuba , to the MPR and Poland [2] .

The plant had its own Palace of Culture, two libraries, a clinic, a dispensary, a recreation center on Lake Naroch , a sports club "Kamolshchik", a pioneer camp, six preschool institutions and a technical school for textile workers. At the Palace of Culture, six amateur art groups were organized. A large-circulation newspaper “The Banner of Labor” was also published [2] .

1993 - transformation into a public company .

2011 - the plant is planned to move to a new location [3] [4] .

In 2017, a large-scale modernization of the enterprise was completed, which cost $ 110 million. [five]
