Short Biography
She is a journalist by her first education, she studied at the Stockholm School of Journalism, at the Department of Literature of Uppsala University . For some time in the 70s she collaborated as a journalist in Swedish newspapers. Since 1983 he works as an artist, sculptor and architect. He leads a number of art workshops at several universities and art schools in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and the USA. Member of a number of collective exhibitions and art events in the USA, Germany, Spain, France, Belgium, Sweden and Cuba. The sculptural and architectural projects of Gunilla Bandolin are exhibited in Swedish cities simply on the streets, decorate parks, squares, university grounds, clinics, administrative buildings, offices of large companies. She is one of the artist’s most famous works - the Observatory, a wooden pier-podium in the Hammerby-shestad district of Stockholm, one of the favorite places for city residents to relax by the water.
