Kulnevo is a village in the Zhiryatinsky district of the Bryansk region , as part of the Vorobeynsky rural settlement .
It is located 5 km north-east of the village of Vorobeynya , on the river Pes . The population is 168 people ( 2010 ).

History
Mentioned from the beginning of the XVIII century as a village, the former hetman possession, from 1761 - Razumovskih ( Cossack population did not have).
Until 1781, it was part of the Pochep (1st) hundred of the Starodub regiment ; from 1782 to 1918 in Mglinsky district, county (since 1861 - the administrative center of Kulnevsky volost ). In 1918 - 1924 - in Pochep county (also a volost center); in 1924 - 1929 - in the Zhiryatinsky volost of the Bezhitsky district .
Since 1841 - a village with a stone church of St. Sergius (not preserved). To the north-west of the village, on the other side of the river, in the 18th century , a farmhouse of the same name with a distillery was mentioned, which was later included in the village (now it is the village of Novosovetsky ; in the middle of the 19th century , a sugar factory also operated). From the end of the 19th century , the Zemstvo school worked.
Since 1929 - in the Zhiryatinsky district, and with its temporary disbandment ( 1932 - 1939 , 1957 - 1985 ) - in the Pochep district . Until 2005 - the center of the Kulnevsky Village Council.
