History
Initially, the area on which Lon Plage is now located was an island. As a result of the retreat of the sea, by the 11th century it had become part of the land. Since the XII century, people began to settle here, but their life was constantly threatened due to floods and frequent wars. Since the end of the XIX century, the city began to develop as a seaside resort, numerous hotels and casinos were built.
