Karshi district ( Uzbek. Qarshi tumani, Qarshi fogi ) is an administrative unit of the Kashkadarya region , Uzbekistan . The administrative center is the city of Beshkent .

Karshi district was formed in 1931. In 1938 it became part of the Bukhara region , in 1943 it moved to the Kashkadarya region. In 1960-1964, it was part of the Surkhandarya region [2] .
