The Diocese of Yuzy ( lat. Dioecesis Iuzeanus ) is the diocese of the Roman Catholic Church with its center in the town of Yucy , China . Diocese Yutsy included in the metropolitan Taiyuan . The cathedral of the Diocese of Yuci is the Cathedral of St. Joseph .

History
On June 17, 1931, Pope Pius XI issued a breve Cum Minister , who established the Apostolic Prefecture of Yuts, selecting it from the Apostolic Vicariate Taiyuanf (today the Archdiocese of Taiyuan ).
On March 9, 1944, the apostolic prefecture of Yuci was transformed into an apostolic vicariate.
On April 11, 1946, Pope Pius XII issued a bull, Quotidie Nos , with which he transformed the Vicar Apostolic, Yutsy, into a diocese.
After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, all foreign clergymen were expelled from the Yucy Diocese, which remained vacant until 1953, when priest Anthony Yang Guanqi was ordained as a bishop in the underground. In 1957, he was arrested for illegal religious activities. In 1958, Bishop Anthony Yang Guanqi died in prison. Since then, the Diocese of Yuci has been vacant until September 14, 1999 , when the Holy See appointed Bishop John-Baptist Wang Jin to be the Bishop of the Diocese of Yuci.
