Description
Cassette robots , or simply “cassettes” are the smallest of transformers : they are many times smaller than the “normal” Decepticons and Autobots , and their sizes usually do not exceed human ones. During transformation, they take the form of cassettes (hence the name) and are placed inside larger transformers - “keepers”, in their chest, from where they release them (all together or separately) to carry out various kinds of instructions: sometimes - to participate in the battle, but most often - to collect information or organize sabotage . The Keepers also play back audio and video recordings made by the cassettes.
There is no exact information regarding the origin of the “cassettes”; according to one version , they [1] are the creations of the god-like inventor Primakron, along with preacons , terror and other zoomorphic transformers [2] .
For Decepticons, Soundwave acts as the custodian of cluster robots, for Autobots - Blaster .
Autobot Cassettes [3]
| Name | The first appearance in the animated series | Description | Other appearances |
|---|---|---|---|
| Effect ( English Eject ) | Transformers: The Movie | What I was fond of on Cybertron is unknown, but on Earth I became an avid fan . If its commander Blaster cannot be pulled out of the concert hall, his brother and partner Reverse from the library , then the Effect itself from the stadium . To the place and out of place inserts sports terms into his speech. Pacifist by nature; his most cherished dream is to live to see a time when any conflicts will be resolved not on the battlefield, but on the football field or on the hockey field, and he himself will be able to retrain from a scout into a sports commentator . Alt Shape : Robot | Transformers: The Headmasters |
| Reverse ( English Rewind ) | Transformers: The Movie | The real "storehouse of wisdom"; its RAM is truly limitless - it contains a lot of all kinds of information and data, very curious ... but, as a rule, absolutely useless for Autobots. However, Reverse does not despair and believes that one day his knowledge will be useful to at least someone. Alt Shape : Robot | Transformers: The Headmasters |
| Bodun ( English Ramhorn ) | Transformers: The Movie | Extremely dangerous because of its disgusting nature. Such a gloomy, irritable and aggressive type is not often found even among the Decepticons, not to mention the Autobots. Anyone whose actions he sees as a threat runs the risk of VERY close acquaintance with his horn, the blow of which throws the train off the rails and punches through a 45- centimeter thick steel plate. However, to those who behave quite cautiously, Bodun is quite friendly. Nevertheless, everyone tries not to contact him unless absolutely necessary, as Baudun’s behavior is unpredictable, and no one is able to guess what exactly can make him lose his temper. Alt Shape : Rhino | Transformers: The Headmasters , |
| Steel ( Eng. Steeljaw ) | Transformers: The Movie | The hunter "to the marrow of bones" - decisive, persistent and cold-blooded. Tracking down enemies is not only his profession , but also a vocation, and in this matter he achieved high skill; can chase his victim up to 800 miles. If there are no Decepticons nearby, he is amused by the fact that he tracks down any creature whose smell is caught by its hypersensitive olfactory receptors , even an ordinary mouse . If he is distracted from his favorite occupation, he begins to get angry and snap, but other Autobots willingly forgive him unfriendliness - because his services are simply priceless for them. Alt shape : winged lion | Transformers: The Headmasters , Transformers 3: The Dark Side of the Moon , Transformers: Undercover Robots [4] |
Decepticon Cassettes
| Name | The first appearance in the animated series | Description | Other appearances |
|---|---|---|---|
| Thunder ( rumble ) | 1. “Not So Simple” (Part 1) | By occupation - saboteur , by nature - badass, snapper and impudent. With his hooligan antics he can "get" anyone. However, none of the Decepticons even tries to tame the unbearable little scumbag, because he is one of Megatron's favorites, and everyone knows this. Alt Shape: Robot | Transformers: The Headmasters |
| Wild ( English Frenzy ) | 14. "Countdown" | The "twin brother" of the Gromila, very similar to him in size, and in manners, and in character. At the same time, he is undoubtedly more intelligent and brave, and therefore more dangerous. Alt Shape: Robot | " Transformers: The Headmasters ", " Transformers (film) " |
| Robber ( Eng. Ravage ) [5] . | 1. “Not So Simple” (Part 1) | One of the most insidious, inventive and secretive Decepticons. It always acts alone. Other Decepticons often have no idea where he is at any given moment, but they do not worry at all because of this, because they know that the Robber simply does not know how to do anything good. It is practically invisible in the dark, moves silently, does not emit any electromagnetic radiation , and therefore it is impossible to detect it even with the help of special detection devices. The nasal module contains hypersensitive sensors , thanks to which it hears well, has a sharp sense of smell and can pick up electromagnetic waves . The robber is an exceptionally effective killing machine, but also a skilled spy specializing in collecting visual information. Alt shape: mechanical panther | Transformers: The Headmasters , Battle of the Beasts , Transformers: Cybertron [6] , Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen |
| Lazerbeck | 1. “Not So Simple” (Part 1) | On Cybertron, the main responsibility of the Laser was to interrogate the captured Autobots; on Earth, he is primarily engaged in espionage . Deservedly enjoys a reputation as the best scout among the Decepticons. Like Soundwave, it can increase or decrease at will, and therefore can penetrate anywhere. In robot mode, speeds up to 250 miles per hour with a range of up to 1,500 miles. Alt Shape: Hawk | Transformers: The Headmasters , Transformers: Beast Wars [7] , Transformers: Armada [8] , Transformers: Animated , Transformers 3: The Dark Side of the Moon , Transformers: Prime |
| Jigsaw ( English Buzzsaw ) | 19. “City of Steel” | Laserhead Twin. Exquisitely polite, intelligent and sophisticated sadist ; for him, destruction, murder and torture is a kind of high art , in which he was very successful, having won the glory of one of the most cruel Decepticons. As a scout, he is also not bad - he is able to detect and photograph an object the size of a drawing button from a distance of 20 miles. Alt Shape: Hawk | Transformers: The Headmasters , Battle of the Beasts [7] |
| Rat ( English Ratbat ) | Transformers: The Movie | Cold-blooded and prudent egoist ; in any situation, he thinks only of his own safety and profit. When he is hungry, he can even pounce on his fellow Decepticon to feed himself. However, those around him put up with his vile vampire habits, since the Rat is of great benefit to the Decepticons - thanks to the highly sensitive sensors placed on the wings , it always accurately identifies the location of the reserves of necessary minerals and fuel , their type and quantity. In the beast mode, it has the ability to increase 10 times [9] , has a speed of up to 65 miles per hour. Extremely nimble and dodgy. There are practically no inaccessible places for him - being the smallest of the “cassettes”, he crawls into any slot, and even the Laser is inferior to him in this regard. Alt Shape: Bat [10] | “ The Transformers ” (season 3), “ Transformers: The Headmasters ”, “ Transformers: Animated ” |
| Overkill ( Overkill ) | 91. The Call of the Ancestors | In no way knows the measure; if he starts to do something, it is almost impossible to stop. It would be a thunderstorm of the Autobots ... if less tried to convince them of this. He is so carried away on the battlefield, demonstrating his power that he forgets everything in the world, and the enemy has a chance to catch him by surprise. Alt shape: tyrannosaurus | Not |
| Slugfest | 91. The Call of the Ancestors | Owing to its phenomenal dullness, it is used only to convey reports, but even with this purely mechanical work, which does not require a lot of intelligence, it copes very badly: the messages it delivers often reach the addressees irreparably corrupted. I would have been in a landfill for a long time if it had not been for the gigantic strength and passion for destruction, thanks to which he is still kept in the team. Alt Shape: Stegosaurus | Not |
