Spotted tanagra [1] ( lat. Tangara cayana ) - a species of newly-eared birds from the family of tanagra . Distributed in Argentina , Bolivia , Brazil , Colombia , French Guiana , Guiana , Paraguay , Peru , Suriname and Venezuela [2] . The body length is about 14 cm [3] . Birds are common in savannas and cerrado with individual trees, at the edges of forests, as well as in stands and gardens in humid areas [3] ; found at altitudes above 500 meters above sea level [4] . Birds live in pairs or small groups, together looking for food among the foliage of trees and shrubs [3] .
