Borisov bridges

Borisov Bridges is a complex of two road bridges across the Borisov Ponds , which is part of the Kashira Highway . Built in 1972 .

There are two bridges here - Upper Borisov and Nizhny Borisov bridges (at different levels) - on a split highway. Each of them is also a double one, passing through an island on a pond. Therefore, the name is often used in the plural - Borisov bridges [1] .

Content

History

The authors of the project are engineer O.V. Sosonko and architect K.P. Savelyev. The bulk island in the center of the Borisov Pond divides each bridge into two sections 102 m long (284 m with approaches), each bridge is 21 m wide. The span structures (31 and 39 m long) are made of prestressed reinforced concrete . [2]

Transportation

The Borisov bridges are located on the border of the Moscow districts Moskvorechye-Saburovo and Orekhovo-Borisovo Severnoe . Through them is the transport link between these areas.

On the Nizhny Borisov bridge, traffic is carried to the center of Moscow, along the Upper Borisov bridge - from the center of Moscow, to the region. Each of these two bridges has four car lanes. On Borisov bridges passes the movement of buses , trolley buses , as well as fixed-route taxis .
