Biography

He was drafted into the army in 1939, immediately after graduating from high school. During the years of World War II, he went from a rank - and - file gunner to a battery commander, and was twice wounded.

In 1958-1961, he was the chief designer of the Dnepr general-purpose semiconductor control machine at the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences.

In 1964 he defended his doctoral dissertation “Development and application of a control machine for general use of the Dnipro Dnepropetrovsk Polytechnic University”.

In 1969 he was elected a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR.

In 1967-1973 he was the chief designer of the M-180 mini-computer.

In 1973-1986 he took part in the development of computers " Electronics C5 " and " Neuron ".

In the 2000s, he actively writes historical books on the history of the Great Patriotic War and the history of Soviet computer technology. Participates in the project of the Ukrainian company M-Platform to create a reconfigurable computer system " M-12 ", on the basis of which the supercomputer "Academician Sergey Korolev" is designed [1] .

Member of the Russian public organization of the International Academy of Informatization .
