The Academy of Han ( Khan Academy ) is a non - profit educational organization created in 2008 by a graduate of MIT and Harvard Salman Khan . The goal of the academy is “to provide high-quality education to everyone, everywhere.” The Academy website provides access to a collection of more than 4,200 free micro-lectures in mathematics, history, healthcare and medicine, finance, physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy, economics, cosmology, organic chemistry, the basics of American citizenship, art history, macro and microeconomics, computer science.

The project is supported by donations, with a significant portion of the donations coming from Google and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation [1] . In 2010, Google announced that it would donate $ 2 million to create more courses and translate into the most used languages [2] .
Lectures are provided in English, a project is being implemented to translate lectures into other languages, supported by volunteers [3] .
