Geography
The village of Medvyadki is located in the west of the Moscow region, in the southwestern part of the Volokolamsk district, near the border with the Mozhaisk district , about 30 km southwest of the city of Volokolamsk , on the left bank of the small Kolopovka river ( Moscow basin). The nearest settlements are the villages of Rysikha and Khatanka .

History
In the 1862 List of Populated Places, Medvedki is the owner's village of the 2nd camp of the Mozhaisk district of the Moscow province on the left side of the trading and country Gzhatsky tract, 37 miles from the county town, by the Medveditsa River, with 25 yards and 209 residents (96 men, 113 women) [3] .
According to 1890, it was part of the Poretsky volost of Mozhaisk district, the number of male souls was 73 people [7] .
In 1913 - 25 yards [8] .
According to the materials of the 1926 All-Union census - the village of the Gorkovsky village council of the Poretsky volost of Mozhaisk district, 139 residents (54 men, 85 women) lived, there were 27 peasant farms [4] .
Since 1929 - a settlement in the Uvarovsky district of the Moscow district of the Moscow region. By the decree of the Central Executive Committee and the Council of People's Commissars of July 23, 1930, the okrug as an administrative-territorial unit was liquidated.
1929-1952 - the village of Degtyarevsky village council of the Uvarovsky district.
1952-1954 - The village of Khatankovsky village council of Ostashevsky district .
1954-1957 - the village of Bolychevsky village council of Ostashevsky district.
From December 7, 1957 - the village of the Bolychevsky village council of the Mozhaisk district, and from December 31 of the same year - the Bolychevsky village council of the Volokolamsk region.
1958-1963 - The village of Bolychevsky village council of Volokolamsk district.
1963-1965 - the village of the Bolychevsky village council of the Volokolamsk enlarged rural area .
1965-1994 - The village of Bolychevsky village council of Volokolamsk district.
In 1994, the Moscow Regional Duma approved the provision on local self-government in the Moscow Region, village councils as administrative-territorial units were transformed into rural districts [9] .
