The village of Avgustinovka is located 4 km from the right bank of the Dnieper River , at a distance of 0.5 km from the villages of Krylovskoye and Novoselishche .
History
- In the vicinity of the village of Avgustinovka , two Paleolithic sites were discovered (over 15 and 40 thousand years ago), a burial ground was investigated, and 3 treasures of the Late Bronze Age (1 millennium BC) were found. An Olivian coin was found (V — IV century BC) with the image of the god Borisfen. The settlement and cemetery of the Chernyakhov culture (II — IV century AD) are investigated.
- 1919 - the date of foundation as the village of Ignatievka .
- In 1929 it was renamed the village of Augustinovka , when 153 families from Augustinovka moved here, flooded in connection with the construction of the Dnieper hydroelectric station named after Lenin.
