Content

History

On March 20, 2008 by the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan was established. As of 2013, the institute has about 280 students who receive higher education in four specialties: international relations and diplomacy, international law, international economic relations and international journalism ” [4] .

New building

The new building opened on September 1, 2011 at the intersection of Galkynysh and Andaliba streets. The Higher School of Diplomacy is adjacent to the building of the Geographical Faculty of the TSU named after Makhtumkuli and the International University of Humanities and Development. The new building consists of five blocks, four-storey buildings of the administrative and educational buildings, a dormitory for 250 people. On the territory of the new building there is also an indoor sports complex with a total area of ​​over two and a half thousand square meters. In the administrative building of the new university campus there is a magnificent assembly hall for 500 seats [5] , as well as protocol and conference halls, a museum, an exhibition center, a library, in which there are more than 60 thousand volumes of books, as well as multimedia reading rooms, cafes and canteens, medical center. The total area of ​​the complex is 31 532 square meters.

The cost of the complex of buildings of the institute built by the French company " Bouig Turkmen" is 80 million US dollars. [6]
