Biography

Before the start of his musical career, Bjorkman worked as a hairdresser, and even had his own salon in Borås . The future singer began his musical career in 1985, releasing his debut album “Våga och vinn”. In 1992, he becomes the winner of the "Melodifestivalen 1992" contest and gets the opportunity to represent Sweden at the upcoming Eurovision song contest, which was supposed to be held in Malmö (Sweden became the "mistress" of the contest after Karola won it). At the competition, the Swedish contestant performed under the seventh number with the song “I Morgon är En Annan Dag” ( Russian. Tomorrow will be a new day ). [2] Unfortunately, the performance was unsuccessful: with a score of 9 points, the singer finished twenty-second (penultimate), becoming the "author" of one of the worst performances for his country since 1977. [3]

Subsequently, Christer took part again at the Melodifestivalen in 1999, performing the song “Välkommen hem” (from Swedish “Welcome back!”), But he took the last place among ten participants.

Despite some failures at the performances in the qualifying competition, in 2002 he became its leader, and successfully continues to work in this position. Recently, Bjorkman has often been criticized for manipulating jury members, but these rumors have been disproved. [four]
