Technical Description
The A-3 inflatable boat is made of rubberized fabric. The boat is equipped with one compartment of sappers who inflate the shell of the boat with air through 4 valves using foot furs and rubber hoses. The inflated boat is equipped with seat shields, oars and an outboard motor .
Boat ferries move through the water with the help of oars or outboard motors. The latter are suspended from the stern of boats on brackets. The speed of the ferry on the motors is about 2 meters per second. Outboard motor serves one sapper. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to install the engine on the boat. The total weight of the engine is 70 kilograms.
The pontoon fleet from A-3 boats is transported either on 90 horse-drawn carts , or on 22 ZIS-5 vehicles, or on tractor trailers.
Car transportation ZIS-5
By the nature of the property transported, all cars are divided into four types:
- boat (9 pcs) are intended mainly for the transport of boats with accessories for their equipment;
- cars of the upper structure (7 pcs) transported girders , flooring , fenders and other elements of the upper structure;
- gantry (3 pcs) transported elements for gantry spans and accessories;
- ramp-motor (3 pcs) transported ramps and outboard motors to the boats.
