Betovo is a village (former village) in the Bryansk district of the Bryansk region , the administrative center of the Chernetovsky rural settlement . It is located 7 km west of the city of Seltso , 7 km northwest of the village of Glinishchevo , on the right bank of the Desna . The population is 604 people ( 2010 ).

History
It was first mentioned in 1613 (until the 18th century it was also called Neshkovichi ) as an existing village with the church of the Archdeacon Stephen, the possession of the Kazelkins and Tyutchevs ; later - D.V. Turgenev, Isupov, Semichev, Tutolmin, Myasoedov, Kuzmin, Ignatiev and others. Since 1806, the parish was transferred to the neighboring village of Chernetovo ; since the end of the XIX century Betovo is called a village.
In the XVII - XVIII centuries. Betovo was part of the Undercity camp of the Bryansk district ; from 1861 to 1929 in the Ovstug volost of Bryansk (since 1921 - Bezhitsky ) county. Since 1929 in the Bryansk region ; It was part of the Chernetovsky Village Council, and since the 1980s . was its center.
