Decima (poetry)

Decima (from Latin decem - ten) - a 10-line stanza of Spanish poetry (hence the name), most often written in 4- foot chorea . Male and female rhymes follow AbbAAccDDc . rhyme layout - abbaa ccddc . There are iambic decimas, for example, in the poetry of Gavril Derzhavin with the rhyme aBaBccDeeD (“ Felitsa ” and “ God ”) and aa BcBc DeeD (“ Fortunately ”).
