Biography
He was born on February 14 ( 27 ), 1904 in Mariupol . Came from a noble family of Ostoslavsky . Father - Vasily Ivanovich, who graduated from the Department of Mathematical Sciences in the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Novorossiysk University , taught mathematics at the gymnasium ; mother - Valentina Epifanovna (nee Ivashchenko), taught Russian language and literature.
In 1929, Ivan Ostroslavsky graduated from the Physics and Mathematics Department of Moscow State University .
From 1928 to 1956 he worked in the aviation industry. In the years 1932-1945 TsAGI employee. During the Great Patriotic War, under his leadership in the wind tunnels of TsAGI, work was carried out to study the possibility of increasing the speed of combat aircraft.
