"Runet Rating" [1] is an analytical project that regularly publishes annual ratings of web studios , SEO companies, site management systems in the Russian Internet segment.

It also provides support services for web studio clients, in particular, it holds tenders for the development or promotion of the site [2] .
Content
Web Studio and SEO Company Ratings
They started in 2009 and became one of the first all-Russian rating projects for such companies.
The rating of web studios is based on a comparison of client portfolios of web studios (the quantity and quality of sites that the company has developed). The more relevant projects in the company 's portfolio , the higher their credibility indicators from the point of view of Yandex and Google search engines, the higher the place of the development company in the ranking.
Ratings of web studios are divided into global and local (by CIS countries, federal districts and cities of Russia). Data is also sorted by type of Internet project: corporate sites, online stores , promo sites, portals and services, blogs , social networks .
Any web studio that has at least 10 relevant projects in its client portfolio can register for participation in the rating.
The ranking of SEO companies is based on similar principles.
According to Dmitry Vasiliev, CEO of NetCat, the Runet Rating is one of two more or less noticeable ratings of web studios in the Russian market, and, unlike the Tagline competing rating, it “can basically be called an adequate objective rating” [3 ] .
CMS Rating
The rating of site management systems ( CMS ) is based on data provided by web developers from all regions of Russia and neighboring countries. The rating includes CMS, which have at least 30 implementations.
The CMS rating is divided into three parts: commercial (or “boxed”) products, freeware development and studio CMS, used only by a narrow circle of developers. “Runet Rating” also conducts a separate ranking of the popularity of CMS for the main types of sites: corporate, promotional, online stores, social networks, blogs, portals and services.
Site Contest
In 2010, the Runet Rating website contest, launched among professional web developers, was launched. Internet projects are presented in 18 nominations, including “Media”, “Finance, Investments”, “Culture, Art, Society”, “Online Stores”, “Flash Sites”, “Design and Advertising” and others. At the first stage, all Internet users can vote for the works nominated for the competition, the jury will bring the final results. The jury of each nomination includes representatives of the core business and market experts [4] .
