" Bitch " ( Rus. Bitch ) - the song of the rock band The Rolling Stones , which was part of their 1971 album Sticky Fingers . Also, the song came out as a biside of the single " Brown Sugar ", released in the spring of that year [1] . In addition to the British version of the single, a concert interpretation of Chuck Berry 's song “Let It Rock” was added, recorded on March 13 during a speech at the University of Leeds during the British tour of 1971. The producer of this song was Glyn Jones . The American version was released a couple of weeks later, and contained only Bitch in the biside.

The song was written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards , and recorded during the October record sessions at London 's Olympic Studios and the Rolling Stones mobile studio located at Stargroves Manor. [2] With its rhythm and text component, “Bitch” resembles “ Brown Sugar ” and is an aggressive rock composition with Mick Taylor's blues guitar and ambiguous scandalous lyrics, which can mean both the vicissitudes of love and drug addiction.
Cover versions and media usage
- The song sounded at the beginning of the episode "Bad Risk" by sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati .
- American jazz flutist Herbie Mann recorded an extended up to 8 minutes instrumental cover version of the song, in the recording of which Mick Taylor took part. This version was released on London's Underground's 1974 Mann album, recorded in London and containing his interpretation of songs from various British rock bands.
- In 1992, the American thrash metal band Exodus released a cover version of the song on their Force of Habit album.
- The song was a New York-based band Goo Goo Dolls for No Alternative , released in 1993. The recording was attended by lounge artist Lance Diamond.
- Japanese pop / rock band Superfly recorded a song for their compilation of 2010 cover songs Cover Songs: Complete Best . A video clip was shot on it.
