Geography

The village is located in the southwestern part of the Bekovsky district, between the Tambov - Rtishchevo line of the Southeastern Railway and the right bank of the Mitkirei River. The distance to the administrative center of the village council of the village of Sosnovka is 1 km, the distance to the district center of Bekovo is 16 km.

History

According to the studies of local historian Poluboyarov M. S. , Malenovka was formed in the first quarter of the XVIII century by the Moscow Annunciation Cathedral, one of the first settlers was Sidor Malenin [2] . In 1747, the village of Malenovka of the Zavalny camp of the Penza district , 55 revision souls [3] . The map of the General Land Survey of 1790 is shown as the village of Malenovka, Serdobsky district, Saratov province [4] . In 1795, the village of Malenovka of economic peasants, 89 households, 359 revision souls [5] . In 1859, the state village of Molyonovka (Malyanovka, indicated vaguely) at the Bolshoi Mitkire river, 47 yards, the total number of inhabitants was 356 souls, 187 of them were males, 169 were females [6] . In 1911, it was described as the village of Malenovka, Sosnovskaya volost, Serdobsky district, Saratov province, 134 yards, the total population was 785 registered souls, 395 of them were male, 390 women; the area under crops of peasants on allotment land - 411 acres; there were 5 iron plows, 1 thresher [7] . In 1923, the village entered the enlarged Bekovsky (Bekovo-Naryshkinskaya) volost of the Serdobsky district of the Saratov province, until March 17, 1924 — the center of the Malenovskiy village council, then at the Vlasov village council of the Bekovskaya (Bekovo-Naryshkinskaya) volost [8] . In 1928, the Vlasov Village Council entered the newly created Bekovsky District of the Balashov District of the Lower Volga Region ( on July 30, 1930 the Balashov District was abolished, the district entered the Lower Volga Region) [9] . In February 1939, the village of Malenovka, Vlasov village council, as part of the Bekovsky district, entered the newly formed Penza region. In 1955, Malenovka — as part of the Sosnovsky Village Council of the Bekovsky District of the Penza Region — housed the team of the Victory collective farm [10] , and in 1970–1980 , the Sosnovsky state farm branch [2] .

Population

As of January 1, 2004 - 77 households, 171 residents [2] ; in 2007 - 157 residents [11] . As of January 1, 2011, the population of the village was 138 people [12] .

Infrastructure

The village has centralized water supply, gas network [12] .

A regional route Bekovo – Sosnovka – Varvarino passes through Malenovka [12] .

The village has 634 km and 636 km of Southeast Railway Station, where commuter trains stop. Long-distance trains stop at the nearest railway station Vertunovskaya , the distance to which is 2 km.
