Geography

The village of Strokovo is located in the north-west of the Moscow region, in the northern part of the Volokolamsk district, about 6.5 km north-east of the city of Volokolamsk . There are 3 garden associations registered on the territory [2] . The nearest settlements are the villages of Bykovo , Golubtsovo and Verigino . Nearby flows Buygorodsky stream .

History

In the "List of populated areas" of 1862, Strokovo is the owner's village of the 2nd camp of Volokolamsk district of the Moscow province on the right side of the Klin highway (from Volokolamsk), 8 versts from the county town, with a well, with 25 yards and 161 inhabitants (77 men, 84 women) [4] .

According to the data of 1890, the village was part of the Bujhorod volost of Volokolamsk district, the number of male souls was 87 people [8] .

In 1913 - 49 yards [9] .

According to the materials of the All-Union census of 1926 - the Efremov village council , there were 326 inhabitants (137 men, 189 women), there were 59 households, among which 53 were peasant, there was a school [5] .

Since 1929 - a settlement in the Volokolamsk district of the Moscow district of the Moscow region. By the decree of the CEC and the Council of People's Commissars of July 23, 1930, the districts as administrative-territorial units were liquidated.

1954-1963 - the center of the Strokovsky Village Council of the Volokolamsk District.

1963-1964 - the center of the Strokovsky Village Council of the Volokolamsk Integrated Rural Region .

1964-1965 - Village of the Chenetsky village council of the Volokolamsk integrated rural area.

1965–1994 - Village of the Chenetsky village council of the Volokolamsk district.

On October 31, 1981, on the 40th anniversary of the Battle of Moscow , at the 114th kilometer of Volokolamsk Highway , the monument β€œExplosion” was opened by the work of architect A. Veselovsky [10] with an inscription on the plaque:

On November 18, 1941, northeast of Volokolamsk, near the village of Strokovo, eleven sappers headed by platoon commander P. Firstov and political company commander A. M. Pavlov, standing to death, repelled the fierce attacks of 20 enemy tanks and infantry battalion. For the heroism shown, all the warriors were awarded the Order of Lenin.

In 1994, the Moscow Regional Duma approved the provision on local self-government in the Moscow region, village councils as administrative-territorial units were transformed into rural districts [11] .
