Geography
The village of Kozlovo is located in the north-west of the Moscow region, in the northern part of the Volokolamsk district, on the P107 Klin - Lotoshino highway, about 8 km north of the city of Volokolamsk , which is connected by bus [2] [3] . The neighboring settlements are the villages of Davydovo and Maslennikovo .

History
In the βList of Populated Placesβ of 1862, Kozlovo (Kozleva) is the owner village of the 2nd camp of the Volokolamsk district of the Moscow province on the right side of the Staritsk-Zubtsovsky tract from the city of Volokolamsk to the village of Yaropolcha , 10 versts from the county town, with an unnamed stream, from 18 courtyards and 179 residents (76 men, 103 women) [5] .
According to 1890, it was part of the Buigorod volost of Volokolamsk district, the number of male souls was 75 people [9] .
In 1913 - 42 yards [10] .
In 1919, the village was included in the Yaropolsky volost of Volokolamsk district [11] .
According to the materials of the 1926 All-Union Census - the village of the Maslennikovsky village council of the Yaropolsky volost of Volokolamsk district, 211 residents (91 men, 120 women) lived, there were 42 peasant farms [6] .
Since 1929 - a settlement within the Volokolamsk district of the Moscow district of the Moscow region. Shortly before that, it became the center of the Kozlovsky Village Council [11] . By the decree of the Central Executive Committee and the Council of People's Commissars of July 23, 1930, the okrug as an administrative-territorial unit was liquidated.

Since 2006 - the village of the rural settlement Kashinskoye Volokolamsk municipal district of the Moscow region [13] [14] .
