Wilmer Santiago Acaciete Ariadela ( Spanish: Wilmer Santiago Acasiete Ariadela ; November 22, 1977 , Callao , Peru ) - Peruvian footballer and defender . Bronze medalist of the America's Cup 2011 and a participant in the America's Cup 2007 and a participant in two America's Cups 2004 and 2007 . Winner of the 2003 South American Cup and the 2004 South American Recopa as part of Cienciano .

Career

Club

Santiago Akasete began his professional career at the Deportivo Vanka Club in 1995 . Only in 2000 the club was able to reach the top division of the championship of Peru . In the championship of 2001 Akasete took part in 42 matches of the club, in which he scored 3 goals. The following year Akasete spent at the Universitario club for which he played 36 games in the championship and scored 2 goals. The next two years, the Peruvian spent in the club " Cienciano ", with whom in 2003 he won the South American Cup , and the next won the South America Recop . Moreover, in the match against Boca Juniors, Rekopy [1] Akasete realized the last penalty of his team. Soon Akasete as a free agent moved to the club of the Spanish Segunda " Almeria ".

In Spain, Santi Akasete has already spent 7 seasons, the first three he spent in Segunda, and four more in Example . During this time, he played for Almeria 180 matches in the championship in which he scored 12 goals. In the 2010/11 championship , Akasiete, who played in 20 games, was unable to help his club, who finished last 20th and flew back to Segunda. In the national team

In the Peru national team, Santiago Akasete made his debut on February 18, 2004 in a friendly match with the Spanish national team , which ended with the defeat of the Peruvians with a score of 1: 2. Akasete appeared on the field only in the 70th minute.

In the same year, Akasete took part in the America's Cup . At that Cup, Akasiete took part in all four matches of his team and even scored a goal against the Venezuelan team [3] .

In 2007, Akasete took part in his second America's Cup . Well, the tournament he played in three games, and his team stopped at the stage of the quarter finals.

After the qualifying match of the 2010 World Cup with the Brazilian national team [4] , held on November 18, 2007, Akaciete, along with other Peru players, Claudio Pizarro , Jefferson Farfán and Andres Mendoza organized a party where they used alcohol in a society of prostitutes [5] . The Peruvian Football Federation, for violating the sporting regime, removed all four players from the national team for a year and a half and fined everyone 10,000 pounds [6] . Subsequently, all players except Andres Mendoza were suspended from eighteen months to three [7] .

In 2011, Akasete again got into the team's bid for the America's Cup , his third in a row. Akasete played in four games of his team, missing the quarterfinal match with the team of Colombia [8] and the match for the third place with the team of Venezuela [9] . In the Cup, the Peru national team took third place in the final.

In total, for the Peru national team, Santiago Akasete played 38 matches in which he scored 2 goals.
