History

On the territory of the region near the village of Utevka 24 mounds were found, which turned out to be burials of different centuries: from stone to iron, stone tools were discovered here.

Before joining the Russian state in the 15-17 centuries, the region was part of the Nogai Horde.

After the defeat of Emelyan Pugachev in the second half of the 18th century, a stream of immigrants moved to the territory of the region.

The territory of the district for a long time was part of the Kazan province, then the Astrakhan province, and in December 1850 the Samara province was formed and the region began to belong to the Buzuluk district of the Samara province. [five]
