Strelna flag

“The flag of the Municipal Formation Strelna village is a rectangular blue cloth with an aspect ratio of 2: 3, reproducing the symbolism of the coat of arms of the Municipal formation Strelna village in blue, white and yellow colors. The reverse side of the flag of the Municipal Formation Strelna is a mirror image of its front side. "

The heraldic description of the coat of arms reads: “ In the azure field, the silver sea anchor points to the left lane and the arrow points upward, laid crosswise, accompanied by a golden star with five rays at the head ... ”.

The flag symbolizes that Strelna is a seaport located at the mouth of the Strelka River, the exit from which to the Gulf of Finland is oriented “Directly and Correctly” to the Polar Star .

Blue color means the beauty of the area and its grandeur.

On June 20, 1995, by order of the Head of the Administration of the Petrodvorets District of St. Petersburg No. 833 ^[2] , the flag and coat of arms of the village of Strelna were approved. The flag description read:

The flag is a blue flag with an aspect ratio of 2: 3. Against a blue background, a white (silver) St. Andrew’s cross is laid across the entire field and a yellow (gold) star in the center of the upper triangle. In the lower half of the panel, with a gentle horizontal arc, there is a green ribbon with yellow (gold) bordering stripes and the inscription in yellow letters of the motto: “Right and Right.”

Despite this description, in the book “History and Heraldry of the Land of Leningrad” there is a drawing of a flag with the image of the inscription “Strelna” on top of the star. ^[3]

At the end of December 1995, the village of Strelna was endowed with the status of the municipal district of St. Petersburg and the charter of the municipal district "Village of Strelna", adopted by the decision of the municipal council of the village of Strelna from January 21, 1998 No. 22, the flag was assigned to the municipality "Village of Strelna".

After the municipal reform of 2006, this flag was assigned to the intracity municipal entity Strelna village.

On March 4, 2010, by the decision of the Municipal Council of the municipality, Strelna settlement No. 08 ^[4] , the draft regulation on the coat of arms and flag of the municipality of Strelna settlement was adopted for amendments, additions and changes to this provision. The flag description read:

The flag of the Municipal Formation Strelna village is a rectangular cloth of blue color, in the center of which there are silver nautical anchor and arrow laid crosswise, and above them a golden star. The ratio of the width of the flag to its length is 2: 3. The reverse side of the flag of the Municipal Formation Strelna is a mirror image of its front side.

On April 6, 2010, by the decision of the Municipal Council of the municipality, Strelna village No. 28 ^[5] , this flag was approved as an official symbol of the municipality.

In connection with the recommendations of the Heraldic Council under the President of the Russian Federation , the decision of the Municipal Council of the Municipal Formation Strelna settlement dated August 17, 2010 No. 58 ^[1] , the previous decision was invalidated and a new (now valid) description and drawing of the flag was approved.
