Biography

Born on January 14, 1909 in the village of Zirikly, now in the Bizhbulyak district of Bashkortostan, in a peasant family. By nationality - Chuvash . Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1932 . In 1931 he graduated from the Ufa Pedagogical College. He worked in various party positions.

In June 1941 he was drafted into the Red Army.

Member of the Great Patriotic War since 1941 and the Soviet-Japanese War of 1945.

On August 14, 1945, when breaking through the Fujin fortified area of ​​the Japanese, Captain Vasiliev led the preparations for the assault on 5 pillboxes. After the explosion of the most powerful of them, Pavel Efimovich was the first to burst into the communications and killed 4 Japanese soldiers from a machine gun and captured one.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of September 8, 1945, Captain Vasilyev Pavel Yefimovich was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal (No. 7769) for exemplary performance of command missions of command and shown courage and heroism in battles with Japanese militarians [ 1] .

In January 1947, Captain P.E. Vasiliev left the reserve. He worked as chairman of the executive committee of the Bizhbulyaksky district Council of Workers' Deputies, first secretary of the Bizhbulyaksky district committee of the CPSU . He was elected as a deputy of the Supreme Council of the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic of the 3rd and 4th convocations [2] , and as a deputy of the Bizhbulyaksky district council.

July 29, 1978 he died, was buried in the capital of Bashkiria - the city of Ufa.
