The Balakhna Vicarism is the Vicar of the Nizhny Novgorod diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church .

It was established on May 11, 1866. Named by the county town of Balakhna, Nizhny Novgorod province. The seat of the Balakhna bishop was the Nizhny Novgorod Pechersky Ascension Monastery . Stopped in 1925 . Restored July 18, 1991. In 2001-2013, it was not replaced.
